Al and Patti Letizio recently donated 38 much needed office chairs to the Town of Windham. During his 17 years serving the Town of Windham on the School Board, Board of Selectmen, and the Economic Development committee, Al noted that the – chairs – used by Town Officials had aged to the point of being unusable. He also recognized that many Town employees work full time, sitting in the same chairs that were 25-30 years old.
In 2019, the A.J. Letizio Enterprise Center opened and was equipped with brand new executive and conference seats. After a year, the decision was made to switch those chairs out and gift the existing chairs to the Town of Windham, for use in the Community Development Meeting Room and in the offices of Town employees. The chairs, purchased in 2019 for the AJ Letizio Enterprise Center are in like new condition, with many having never been sat in. The chairs are valued at $1,500 each, for a total value of $57,000. Says Al, “We are happy to know that as our Town’s elected officials and employees will now be sitting through those hours of meetings and work days on nice and comfortable chairs! It’s also nice to know that these gleaming white chairs will now complement the room where our 2013 flag display still stands prominently.”
